Its not rocket science

Hi yer-all

after a little break
- funny how life seems to
get in the way sometimes.
I have a quote from
the rocket-man, Wernher von Braun
who was the main man- when we started
sending rockets to the moon.
He said-
"Basic research is what I am doing
when I don't know what I am doing"
For me this tells us that the world
is a very simple yet complex
organism. We think we know alot
yet I belief in fact we know very little.
So perhaps we should be more like
Socrates who famously said-
"All that I know, is that I know nothing"
Still, no harm in trying.

Today I have a quote from
the ancient world. From Seneca
who was not too fussed from whom he borrowed.
He said-
"Whatever is well said by another
is mine"
So this idea of originality
is not new. Wise words and wise
sayings get passed on constantly.
cervantes said-
Thou hasn't seen anything Yet"
and borrowed famously
By Al johnson and many other.

short on time again,
but time for this.
Do you ever feel "whats it all about?"
well buckminster fuller had words for
you. He said-
"I am a passenger on the spaceship earth".
He departed this life in 1983
so he is a passenger no more
except his bones.
but you.....
you are still here, and still a passenger,
me too

watch your thoughts

Hi yer-all

on a cold autumn day.
You watch TV, but I watch
my thoughts. They can get
you into a lot of hot water.
Now Marcus Aurelius had
something to say about that-
"The universe is transformation,
our life is what our thoughts
make it".
So if you are young thats
a good place to go. Visualise
the person you wish to become.
Hang on to your image,
and one day- your time will come
and thats your vision-quest or
your dream time.
Well, now i'd better get back to
the washing- Dream on.

Are you perfect, thats peachy.
Me, I am still working
on it.
Which reminds me of a quote
I have in my annals.
Its by Fanny Burney- dont ask!
The Qoute is-
"Its a delightful thing to think of perfection,
but its vastly more amusing to talk
of errors and absurdities"
So how do you like that,
Put that on your new breakfast
cereal- The Credit Crunch,
Not much of it, but its oh so hard to swallow.
Well, I'd better get back to working
on perfection- it just takes so long.
