'You see, it is easier to brainwash young people'
That's why Sunday School isn't taught in Seniors' Homes.
I have to agree with Good_News on this one. If you look at the Tamil Tigers (the leading suicide bombers in the world), you'll find that most of them are young.

Oh, I forgot to mention. Who do you suppose is doing all this brainwashing of young people? Could it be old people? Who's worse, the poor sot that gets brainwashed or the one doing the laundry?

Oh, look: A man opens fire on a bus and kills four Muslims before being killed himself. Fox calls the gunman 'an Israeli Extremist' rather than a 'Jewish Terrorist'. And the victims are called 'Arabs' rather than 'Muslims'.

Only Muslims are terrorists, of course.

The thing about that story is that Fox was all over the BBC and other networks for not using the word 'terrorist'. Now there's a case where even Ariel Sharon is willing label a Jew a terrorist, but Fox News refuses to do it.
Personally, I think there should be a moratorium on the word for about two centuries: it's meaningless now. Fox did the right thing for once: Israeli Extremist, Iraqi Insurgents, Anti-Abortion bombers, suicide bombers -- those are meaningful terms.

I remember someone said the following.
'When they murder civilians, it's an atrocity. When we murder civilians it's tough retaliatory action.
Rebels on our side are freedom fighters. Rebels on their side are terrorists.'
It is all spin and propaganda, murder is murder.

A terrorist is a person with a bomb who doesn't also have an air force.
The wean.

'Fox calls the gunman 'an Israeli Extremist' rather than a 'Jewish Terrorist'.'
He wasn't trying to strike fear into the Israeli Government to technically he is not a terrorist. He is a murderer but not a terrorist.
'And the victims are called 'Arabs' rather than 'Muslims''
Perhaps FOX was not certian about their religion? Not all Arabs are Muslim.

Hi Good News
"He wasn't trying to strike fear into the Israeli Government to technically he is not a terrorist."
Er...yes he was. Like many jewish zealots he opposed the pull-out from Gaza and the West Bank. By murdering ordinary Arabs he hoped to provoke a response from their extremists and thus bury the pull-out altogether.
You must remember that the state of Israel was founded by jewish terrorists. Amongst the orthodox population are many who still hold to the same principles ('God gave us this land' & 'We can kill anyone who threatens it') and they continue to use terror - up to and including assassinating their own Prime Minister.
I sadly expect to see a lot more of this.
"Perhaps FOX was not certian about their religion? Not all Arabs are Muslim."
FOX couldn't find it's a*se with both hands, and then makes it up. Maybe all Arabs are not necessarily Muslim, but all non-jewish terrorists in the Middle east are always identified as Muslim by FOX and other non-discerning networks.
Strangely most reasonable Muslims declare that these Arab Terrorists are not Muslim because they use the tactics of terror. But that doesn't make a very good story and doesn't whip up the state of fear that Bush and Blair need to continue to erode our civil liberties and reinforce their political positions.
Blessings,
