some mind stretching patterns

If you like patterns, try googling fibonacci and DNA. The fibonacci series relation to the Golden Mean is fascinating (the golden mean being equal to the ratio of any two consecutive numbers in the fibonacci series) , but its connection to DNA is spooky! Pentangles and musical scales fit in quite nicely too. Then there's the whole fractal/chaos theory thing, you can loose yourself for days. If you tire of that, check out a piece of Romanesco Broccoli or Broccolini for a natural fractal mind blower or look at a sunflower heart for a demonstration of the fibonacci series at work in nature (if you really want to loose your self, some psyocybin can really enhance the experience (optional), its amazing the extra detail you can pickup!). I know I'm running on a bit here, but one last thing for the pattern freak, try looking for the connection between the Golden Mean and concepts of beauty in the human face. The universe is a stunning place, and it does it all under its own steam!

Gone again

Hi MB, thanks for dropping in. smiley - ok

Yes, patterns are great, even when we recognise patterns that don't really exist, like faces in clouds or God in the pattern of pips in a tomato.... smiley - winkeye The Golden Mean is particularly fun, and applies to many (apparently unrelated) things, as you observe.
