It usually does here too but seeing as we spent most of July and August under water it's only right that we get a bit of respite! My umbrella and welly boots are practically worn out with use!

That I'm afraid is about the extent of my spanish ... spent the whole of August in South America and kept confusing the verbs "hablar" and "tiene" ... the look of confusion on the Bolivian Border Guards face when I asked him if he spoke biro was priceless!

Spiffing ... no other word for it! Was down in London for a weekend of drunken, wanton debauchery and thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it even if it was neither debauched nor wanton!

Lots of new people ... was in a typical "speak rubbish to anyone" mode - comes of living at home you see. Months of pent up chat to dispose of - don't think I stopped talking for about 50 hours ... felt knackered yesterday as a result!
