Hi there!! Don't worry about the confusion, you'll soon get the hang of things. It's not helped because they've just 'upgraded ' the site and there's copnsequently a lot of confused people out there. However to visit a researcher home page just click on the name....you can always click on the Don't Panic button. Just reply if you've got any other questions, I'll usually reply within 24 hours and nearly always within 48. Yep I'm that sad and have little social life. 
However h2g2 is fun and a very varied world
