Noticed your contribution to "Things no-one told me" on bullying. The way I remember it, bullying is like acne: it makes you miserable, it lasts a very long time, but eventually you grow out of it. It was all a long time for me, but a guide entry on the subject written by someone closer to the experience might be an excellent thing.

It was actually a long time ago that I can remember what it actually felt like, for the last two years it happened I deadened my feelings to such an extent I hard felt it happening any more. That was seven years ago... *sigh* memories...

The article is excellent. If it is a first draft, knocked ojf following my suggestion, it is bloody marvellous.

I agree that the ethological ( alpha male, etc ) explanations are more plausable than the pyschological ( envy, etc )

You mention numbers ( phone? ) to call if the reader is suffering from bullying. This is kind of vague and would be good if you could give some pointers to finding those numbers.

Some discussion of the option of telling parents / teachers / elder siblings and how to deal with the fallout from taking this action might be good.

To my taste, your writing is rather defensive ( this is just my opinion, take what I say with a grain of salt, etc, etc ). It would read more crisply if you took most of these out.

It is a most impressive article on a subject which I suspect was upsetting to write about.
