I hope you don't mind me calling you Al. It's supposed to be funny! I just read your 'My Multiplicity' page. Interesting reading it was too. I *enjoyed* the 'Looking sobre when you're drunk' piece more, though, for obvious reasons. A few good LOL moments in their. Ta.
Anyway, we have come into contact in the AWW/AGG thread and I have read various things you have written so I decided it was formal introduction time. I'm Spiff and you are Lucinda et Al. Voila, all formal and thoroughly introduced!
I also think it's worth mentioning that I have looked through all kinds of stuff relating to what I think of as 'the goings on' that have been, well, 'going on' on h2g2 in recent months and particularly the last few weeks. You are clearly right slap bang in the middle of the whole thing and I just wanted to state from the outset that I was 'aware' of it. That's not meant to imply any kind of judgement or profound statement. Just kind of a 'confession' or perhaps acknowledgement that I have been looking at the whole thing in spite of the fact that is none of my business.
On the positive side, it seems to have resulted in various measures being taken which may help things to work differently in the future. Of course, the future being what it is, we won't know 'how' it will be different until it becomes the present. Tum-ti-tum.
By the way, I enjoyed the Birdsong and Cornflakes piece. I like the way you manage to get so much humour in there without losing the potential value of what is clearly a sincerely expressed and serious message.
That's quite enough a**e-kissing for one e-mail, I think.

Hi Spiff, and well introduced...
Al's fine (and all's well )
Yeah - slap bang in the middle of stuff - and somehow wishing I wasn't. So it goes...
Well, let's see...

... if we can bring a few smiles to peoples faces instead. I think we should be able to do something really positive in a small way with this 'non-edited' material project.
*Looking forward to getting some of that recursive laughter ringing through h2g2*
