The legendary Fenchurch M. Mercury wrote those in the very old days. I don't know how well they hold up to today's standards, but an effort was made in the past to write intelligently about theories of intelligence.
That's part of the reason I reacted so negatively to Barton's 'effort'.

I rather think Barton's point was that an entry on the whole of intelligence was an unintelligent thing to attempt - rather than individual ones. My current opinion is tha Barton's effort is not suitable for the Edited Guide - BUT my mind is not the most clear of things right at the moment, and I certainly didn't want to make any judgement call one way or he other. Who knows: I will probably change my mind when this is all over and I can think straight.
Dang - now I'm wishing I had posted these to the original Intelligence thread - given Playboy something else to lean his entry against and build upon...
Critical Rationalism is Twophlag's effort though, and not hugely related - did you mean to link somewhere else?
