Hi Nim,

Love the personal entry; can tell you're a writer! Mine is nowhere near as interesting smiley - blush though I'd be happy for you to wander over and take a look.

Do you travel with your work? Seems like you've been to some wonderful places.

Anyway, hope you don't mind that I've added you to my friends list; we have SF&F in common, who knows what else we may find once we get talking? smiley - smiley

Hi!
(Pours some smiley - tea for herself)

Thanks - 4 years ago the best i could do on a thread was describing what the cat is doingsmiley - sadface I've started research on a semi-fantastical historical novel for children (in farsi), i hope to start writing it in the fall.

The only time i was abroad for a job was in Dubai, but three month ago i was part of the translator/escort team accompanying guests of the culture ministry, and we went to Esfahan and Kerman, it was rather nicesmiley - smiley

You know what my biggest proffessional dream at the moment is? to sell the novel to an english publisher - and then get invited to the london book fair on their expensessmiley - biggrin

I like smalville too, though i have only seen 4 eps so far - i got season one in thailand and i invite a friend over to drool togethersmiley - biggrin
but i am reading the fanfiction - yesterday a spent my whole evening reading "identical" by laning cook - it was great!

Very best of luck with your writing project - I really admire you. I'd love to write but just don't have the confidence. Or the spare time at the moment, really (or am I just making excuses for myself?)

I haven't seen any fanfic for Smallville; I used to read (and write a little) Anne McCaffrey 'dragonriders' fanfic, but that was a few years ago. I was always aware that everyone else was so much better than me!

TV is great for sci-fi fans in the UK at the moment, at least if you have satellite / digital TV, with Smallville, Star Trek: Enterprise, and Dr Who (good old British sci-fi, which we don't make enough of!).

I've been having to tape most things over the last few weeks, and now have a bit of a backlog to get through, due to having three long essays to write in a couple of weeks over the Easter break. Still, they're done and handed in now, and can relax a little between revising for my exams.

Talking of which.. I really should be reading up on Anglo-Saxon history right now - see you later! smiley - rainbow

try http://smallville.slashdom.com/

yes it is a slash archive but there are het and gen stories too, if you like them.

Sorry, i'm a slasher, so most links i have in any fandom are slashsmiley - biggrin

No apologies needed, Nim. Not my particular taste - I tend to prefer fanfic without erotica, but each to their own. Thanks for the link, though; there are links from there to other sites. smiley - smiley

erotica some times is nice, but I became interested in Slash because the relationships are (mostly) more balanced and equal. Not always - 90% of the "Sentinel" slashers should be hit on the headsmiley - winkeye

If you like english-novel type of stories, like Agatha Christie or Georgette Heyer, or Dorothy Sayers, you should try "Lust over Pendle". Its, Harry Potter fanfiction, Draco/Neville pairing, but at the same time... well, it is more or less indescribable! very few actual 'scenes', the most prominent is when the poor boys are just getting busy with the handcuffs and the chocolate souce, and Hermione and her parents drop in for a visitsmiley - biggrin
I have to check if you can write entries about fanfiction - this series definitely deserves one!
