*tries to put a very offended expression on her face - but doesn't quite manage - btw. 1,65m was very good*
In Germany lots of men do it straight after school, so the money loss isn't really that drastic. I read most of the papers the boys in my class wrote and it was so rediculous. The general sentence was my grandfather told me all those terrible stories about the war and my parents always encouraged me to solve problems in a peaceful and verbal way. One of them wrote that he always went to the children's service and was sooo impressed by the bible stories (only thing he wrote bible with ie ). I had to go this information thing about the military service every year, although I was a girl, so I usually took the chance to ask about homosexuality in the army or women wanting to refuse military service etc...very good ways to throw those army people completely off track

And it does work! One of my classmates went to this examination and said: Well I am gay, I suffer from anorexia and I'm a drug addict, are you still interested in me?
Of course he had to go to a psychological interview, but they believed him and he didn't have to do any service...although he was neither of the three

Can't do that up here... It goes on your record, so it stays with you all the way, when applying for jobs etc...

Well it goes into some kind of record here, too. And as far as I know he won't be allowed to join the army or the police anymore, but as he had already started a police training once and dropped it again, he wasn't too sad about that...
Nevertheless (haven't used that word for ages) I actually think that it's really good to do something different after school for a while...although I would propably go for the community service as a boy, appears more useful to me...and I definitely wouldn't cope very well with getting orders and being shouted at

A lot of things, injustice, intolerance, prejudice... but the thing that gets me the most is plain ol' stupidity!
This is what happened! (...what happened? part 3)
Feffi (Keeper of playground sunbaths on even days) Posted Jan 12, 2001
Stupidity? Well, I guess you'll never experience the problem of running out of reasons to go mad then

Nope... Especially in this country. I watch the news - bam! - I'm on a rage! Read the papers - bam! - I'm on a rage!
Nah, really, it isn't that bad.
So, what you doing this weekend?

Feffi (Keeper of playground sunbaths on even days) Posted Jan 12, 2001
Well I am actually not too sure yet. I am definitely not going home for the weekend...propably go out with a friend tonight and I'll have to get some things sorted concerning my visa for Syria tomorrow...Yourself?
Btw. I just passed time (keeping myself from writing this stupid report)with some language training. I must admit that Norwegian really looks rather difficult to me (lots of vowels and little dots and stuff, although I might manage to remember the word Hjelp! Oh and then I was wondering, whether God sommer! (an easy one as well) is really such an important sentence as it's one of the first ones you'll find everywhere.
Anyway, I found a nice game to learn the Danish terms for fruits and I was quite good a that .

God helg!
*hopes that is right as she put the sentence together herself...this is really strange they tell you what "Have a nice summer" means but no word on weekends, though you could use that far more often, tststs*
Anyway, hope you enjoy it!

Ever tried Arnica, I used to get it for such things during my antroposophic time...
Weekend was nice, I went to the theater and when I got there I was very surprised to read that the play was Norwegian, Henrik Ibsen's Hedda Gabler. It was quite a modern production and they put some beautiful music to it

I would say Schönes Wochenende.
Arnica is a plant/herb/flower...whatever. You get it as an ointment for bruises, sprains, basically everything as long as the skin is not broken. You also get it as tablets against such things and especially against shock, like after an accident. You can also make compressions with it. It's one of the antroposophic favourites I guess
