Hi there smiley - smiley

Just to let you know I'm editing your article, Ailurophilia - you can find the edited version at A4113992. Let me know if there are any last-minute changes you'd like me to make to it!

One thought - perhaps you could write a sentence or two to explain the term ailurophilia? It's in the title, but then isn't used at all in the main text. I get the feeling that many people won't know what it is, so if you write just a little explanation then I'll add it in at the top smiley - ok

Joe,

I had made three (or more )additional edits that are showing up in the version on the "coming up" section of h2g2, but not on your version.

1. Added one additional reference
2. Added a "co-author" (LeoAlpha)
3. Added one additional footnote

Should I send those to you or can you start your work with the newer version?

They don't show up on mine - but when I get going, I'll copy the GuideML from yours and paste it over the edited version, so you don't need to do anything. Just bear in mind that anything you change on your original, doesn't necessarily go onto the one I have unless I put it there smiley - smiley

Are you going to write a little explanatory sentence to introduce the term ailurophilia?

Sorry! I've been off on a small holiday. The definition of Ailurophilia (the love of cats), seemed to fit very well in the last paragraph, and I made the addition there, but please change the article around as you see fit.

smiley - ok So you have. Sorry, I seem to have started editing without incorporating your changes. If you could just do one thing for me - could you highlight all the things you've added/changed to your original, paste them into here and I'll update them. Sorry, my fault smiley - smileysmiley - sorry

Joe C,

I can see my article with all the latest edits on my personal space and on the coming up page.

I was unable to locate the article that you are editing so that I could highlight the changes for you.

Could you give me a link? I tried to search on Ailurophilia and didn't get any results at all so I think that maybe h2g2 is having problems.

Joe:

Here is a link to my article with a few minor changes now in Bold font. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/A3803302?s_fromedit=1

1. I would like to add researcher 519437 (LeoAlpha) as a co-author, please.

2. The last paragraph has the minor change of defining the title word for loving cats as you suggested. It ties in nicely with "loving cats to death", I think.

3. There is a new footnote in the second paragraph which I think is very interesting about a woman who dried her dead cats and stored them in her kitchen cabinets.

4. The footnote about dry ice tempratures has been expanded to give a contrast with true cryogenic temperatures.

5. I have added an interesting "additional reading" link that explains exactly how to do an intervention on a cat hoarder.

Thanks for considering these changes .

However, please replace footnote 5 with the following:

A block of dry ice has a temperature of -109.3 degrees F (-78.5 degrees C). In contrast, cryogenic liquids such as nitrogen have temparatures of -321 degrees F (-196 degrees C).

Also, I think this is a really on point "additional reading" and if you could add it I would be grateful.

Pet needs - caring for cats

Pet needs - caring for cats
Acquiring cats - adopting a cat or kitten
Emergency aid - performing CPR on your cat
