Hi Morph,
Thanks for posting this interesting scene for us to appreciate.
Living in the outskirts of a small English town, and never having travelled to the States (unlike our two sons who come over there regularly on both business and pleasure)it is fascinating to read your 'take' on the surroundings and wildlife in and around Bottomless Lake.
We sincerely hope you suffer no personal or property damage when that forecasted hurricane touches base on early Sunday morning whilst you're in bed! (Bet you'll stay up to keep an eye on things...batten down those hatches!. Those damned wasps/hornets also sound scary. Tell me, can porcupines give you a big prick? Well, not you personally! Generally speaking.
See you friend (seeing as I'm on your list, I'd better include you on mine!) Keep 'em coming Red Flyer!

Laughing out loud at 5 AM. Wish I'd thought of that.

Well, Phred!
You really had me fooled! But that doesn't take much, as you will, by now, have discovered for yourself!
Now I know you're you ('cos I worked it out that you couldn't be anyone else!) I shall follow your epic travelogue like a pesky stinking skunk! So don't sleep out in a tent, or I'll leave my scent all over your ground sheet!
You are one lucky son of a bi...plane pilot, who got to fly jet fighter-bombers over Vietnam, or was it North Korea?
If I'd taken the trouble to look in my list of friends I would have seen your new 'handle' there!
As for anagrams, Spynxxx (Spy) says he has a problem with his vowels (or, more precisely, the lack of 'em) so cannot perform any anagrammatic prestidigitations with his name. I would recommend Veechams Pills, they verk vonders for me!

Not finding any Google references to Veecham's pills. Did find Beecham's pills, made of 40% aloes, 45% ginger and 15% powdered soap!
Thought to keep one "regular", surely the soap alone vould verk vonders.
Further explanation would be appreciated.

Hi Morph,
The only further explanation I can give is that, not being a natural comedian, I tend to fall far short of comedic expectations. My jokes all appear to be forced or fabricated, instead of falling easily from the humour centres of my brain! That would be, if I had one!

A that dry sense of English humour. Sometimes it connects with colonials and sometimes not.
