Perhaps I'm in the wrong room? Isn't this where the scientists meet?
Pi is the ratio of the circumference to the diameter of a plane circle, BTW. ed.

Typing 'Ctrl + p' here opens a window to install a new printer. Oops! I'll have a hunt around to see if I can locate the typing shortcuts.
Write soon, ed.

Actually H2G2 made up of just whoever happens to drop by. Some are scientists, some are bartenders, some are scuba divers and some are indian chiefs. They don't have a special room for scientists.

Actually, while I'm not a scientist I do know that Pi is a funny little greek symbol....The last time I calculated it to eight billion places I found a strange sequential sequence of 1 and 0 numbers that made a picture of a penguin when I arranged them into a box 64 * 64. Probably just a coincidence though.

It's a fairly complex place. I keep finding new corners and crannies.
Exploring some of the links on the front page might be a good place to start.

Unfortunately, when I hit CTRL + p my computer tried to install a new printer and I lost all my work so this penguin picture was never published.

Your "ACE", Reefgirl, also left some good links to explore. I found this site in February and found it very confusing the first month or so. My first article A3694854 has some bits of science in it...It is about my pet theory that Amelia Earhart was killed by parallax.

Not just yet, bob, I'm trying to gather a few associates to add to yourself and Kiteman before I swim too much deeper over here... ed.

To display Pi in your web pages (h2g2 articles) use HTML named character entities such as "π", "∫", and "∞".
You can see these by opening article I placed on your page called Bits of Borrowed Guide ML
