Hi there... and welcome to The Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy, Earth Edition... my name is Greebo T. Cat... or Greebz to my friends... and me is an Asstistant Community Editor... commonly known as an ACE.. or in latin H2t2us Aceus... ~grin~
Me is one of several ACE's, no doubt you will meet afew more on your travels about h2g2 land... and we like to help new researchers feel welcome and sort out any small.. nagging little problems that... they might have...
A good place to start if you are new... is the newcomers page... which was set up for people just like you... to help ease you into h2g2... you can find this page by click on this link... http://www.h2g2.com/A5752
Another good way of finding out about h2g2 is the homepage... where all sorts of links and information can be found... just click on the h2g2 button ... on the top left hand side of this page... it's up there in what has become known as the "goo"
If you wuold like to visit my page... just click on my name above this message... ~grin~... there are several links to different pages from there... or just join in a conversation... you will be very welcomed...
You have a great style of writing... and me enjoyed reading your homepage... ~big grin~... me hopes that you will write some guide entries... as me would very much like to read them... ~hopeful grin~
We have at least one thing in common... me lives in an apartment as well... ground floor... and not high rise... just thought you would like to know that...
Are you an actual DJ??? As me not think me has talked to one of those on h2g2 before... so this could be a first for me... ~grin~
Oh well... bet me has bored you pants off... ~blush~... sorry... will rephrase that... meant to say socks... ~grin~
Will check in again to see how you are... bye for now... and remember... DON'T PANIC!!!

Well thank you! It's nice to be here...yes, I am a, as you put it, DJ, but generally, we prefer to be called announcers...thanks for the kind words about my writing! I did my best to do so in the Douglas Adams style, however, I sure some of my own cynicism bled through. I was going to put a link to my work website on the home page, but I was concerned that it would be considered advertising. Anyway, still pettering about, looking around, but so far I like what I see!

Ahem.
I offer you another, but tentative, welcome although I am not sure that you exist.
The concept of a modest radio presenter is one with which I am not familiar, but if it is the start of a trend - I'm all for it.
Have a fish from a non-polluted repository.
Share and enjoy!

I do, indeed, exist. However, I may not be a "presenter" as you put it for long unless I quit goofing off on the net and get to work!

No, Greebo, I think it's mea culpa.
Sorry Fadbinger.
As I understand it, on this side of the pond a "Presenter" has his/her own show. A(n) (Continuity) "Announcer" does the links between shows. A competely different art form.
Obviously lost something in the transl(oc)ation.
I should have stuck to "Welcome!"
