Hey, Sim. Thought I would revive this post (in the hope that it is still active on your space!!), as it struck me you would be the ideal person to ask advice about cameras!!
I want to get a decent digital camera, not spend the earth, as I don't take nearly enough pix of my children! I only have an old APS at the mo, so time to stop being so luddite!! Not necessarily just a point and shoot - I am happy to fiddle with apertures and speeds, but nothing as complex as a professional camera.
What would you recommend?!

Hmmmm...this is a big question, what is your budget, there are so many cameras digital cameras available now all producing excellent results, a 6 meg pix is more than enough for your needs but you will find 8 and 10 meg pix at reasonable costs, I favour Fuji, they have an the edge with there chip technology but Canon and Nikon make great cameras also. How compact do you want it, say something to fit in your pocket or handbag, or maybe something a little larger but with more features. Give me some feed back Lelly and I can recommend some to look at.
Hi, by the way, hope family and dugs are well
