I do like a bit of pastry in fact i like it a lot trouble is no one else in this household likes it about once a year I will make some cornish pasties just for me , I used to make beef n mushroom pies too but my wife doesn't like the taste of meat anymore , I can just about getting away with this pie tonight tho cause it don't taste meaty
As for that sheep/dog thing I remember reading about it a couple of weeks back .

the only pastry i get is from the local upermarket, when i buy the pkts of frizen pies, chicken/veg, steak/kidney, and mince beef/onion. never made a pie in my life. lol jim

Jim I'm even eating my own beef, I bought a Vealer(do you know what that is?) and fattened it and then got it slaughtered and the local butcher cut it up to my specs and that's what we ate tonight along with homegrown mushrooms and pastry I make me self

your in the backwoods i take it, we are in the back of beyond, i live on a large estate(check out the google link on my space)to where i live.

the only, whats called fresh stuff, we get for the butches in town.lol

most of what i get is frozen or cooked at the market daily, this is only once a week, if i shop at the main morrison,s store.

the only things they shoot here, but not to eat, is rats and pidgeons with a bee bee gun(air rifle). no allowed but still happens.

the asian comunities we have, tend to keep chickens and slaughter them for there halal food,
