SO what part of Glasgow are you from? My parents are both from there - my Gran currently lives in Cathcart, I'm up there on the 1st September for a stag night (watch out Glasgow! )

Hi Orcus, my only concern about advertising the marmite poll is that more strange people that like the stuff might turn up and vote.

I live in Kelvindale which is in the extreme outer edge of the west end (next to Maryhill but people round here don't like admitting that). I used to live in Langside about 6/7 years ago, that's not far from Cathcart.

Enjoy the stag night, I was going to say don't get too drunk but that would just be stupid.

Oh and I'm also a Celtic fan.

Hmmm, don't know those areas very well I'm afraid, everywhere's close to someowhere nasty in Glasgow isn't it - my uncle lives near to Drumchappel - in Bearsden!

I grew up in Drumchapel, 24 years I lived there ( you don't get that long for murder ), and yes it is a dump. In fact some parts of it were so bad it was cheaper to pull them down than try and repair them. The council has been trying to improve it recently but I still wouldn't go back to live there.

I have to say I thought I'd never see anywhere (at least in the UK)quite as bad Easterhouse and Drumchappel until I moved to St Andrews and saw Dundee However, I now live in Birmingham - there are some horror stories here too. I unwittingly moved near an area here called Druid's Heath when I first moved here - BIG mistake! - three insurance claims for house burglary later I moved elsewhere. Do you know Wumbeevil onsite? He's got lots of good stuff to stay about Glasgow!

Lat I heard about the council in Glasgow was that they were spending most of their time improving their own driveways with taxpayers money - admittedly a few years back mind.

Dundee, now there's a city that needs a bypass, so you don't have to go through it on your way to Aberdeen. Hopefully nobody from Dundee will read this.
