Apologies you seem to have been missed from out Newbie List

Welcome, welcome, welcome, to the wonderful site of H2G2 (other wise known as hootoo - you will see this word a lot). I am an <./>ACE</.>, and I'm here to help you settle into your new home

I've created a little list of links, just for you, so click here <./>A1159210</.> and have a look at them (actually the links are my daughters...but hey!! Hootoo is one big family )

If you click on each link, they will take you to parts of hootoo no sane person should ever go alone on this site.....

......but as it seems no one here is sane, it doesn't matter does it!

Have a look around, pop into my personal space and read some conversations that I have on the go at the moment and you will see how things work. Don't be frightened to jump in on conversations, hootooers don't bite (well, some of them do, but I'll steer you well clear of those), just be aware of the thread you are reading and whether or not it is a private conversation between two people.

Remember, if you get lost, shout for help and hopefully I'll be around to give you a helping hand. In case I'm not around, just leave a message here <./>ACE</.> and someone will be with you just as soon as they can. Failing that, just click on MY SPACE on the left hand side of your screen and you'll get back to your personal space.

I am settling in quite well, but I have 3 things to ask.

1. How do you get those really long names?

2. My frriend granbull is having trouble settling in. I know you are probably very busy, but could you find him on h2g2 and be his ACE to?

3. Are you pro or anti "thing"?

Hiya!!

1) Changing Tags (name)

Look in your Personal Space and go to Personal Preferences, you can change your Tag there. However, don't make it too long, as this widens the pages you post to and makes it difficult fo r some to read the entire message posted. OH! Don't forget to click on Update to confirm your new Tag. You can change this as often as you like



2) Granbull

Poor Granbull was greeted by a friend which removed him from the newbie listing. He has now been ACE'd by your truly




3) I am a Thingite and proud of it!

Dear lil,

Every time I enter someone's personal space, it says something like "especially with AFGNCAAP," like in your one. I'm not THAT famous, so how do you set it to say the name of whoever enters? I have also joined MOTMV, but I can't seem to make the badge work. How do I do it?

It is called a "viewer tag" darling.. you need to put your Intro Page into Guide ML and then you can use < viewer/ > without the gaps..
