Hi and welcome to h2g2 - I am vegiman and have around on site for about a year now. If it is the friendly type of people you are looking for - You have found them - This must be one of the most friendly sites on the internet. The natives dont bite.

The site might be running a bit slow at the mo, there are a lot of new people login in as Douglas Adams (DNA) is on a publicity tour. It will speed up when things settle down a bit.

If you want any help just ask. Most of the older researchers will be only to pleased to help.

The first thing I suggest you do is go to the front page ( http://www.h2g2.com ) and put the 'who is on line link' on your home page.

Vegiman, You're somebody in the know, has the section "This day in History" stopped or should I continue to dig out meaningless bits of trivia from my History books, only it doesn't seem to has been up dated for 5 days.

Nothing on h2g2 is thrown away and although I have not visited the page you mentioned it must still be there somewhere. If it doesn't come up again soon - I will make enquiries for you.
