Inky and I were wondering it they teach Swedish in Estonian schools. The idea sounds sort of alien to me, but Inky said he had maybe read about it somewhere. Could you state the truth?

Yes, they teach Swedish in some schools. We don't have that many teachers for that, otherwise it would be even more common.
People would like to learn Swedish, after all Sweden is quite close and way more interesting than Finland.

Draw your sword for you have tarnished the name of my beloved home country!
.......
But Swedish, really? It's so far away, and you don't have a minority speaking it, do you?

Usually they learn 3 foreign languages at school. Most commonly the first one is English and the second one is either Russian or German and the third may also be Swedish or French or whatever teacher they happen to have at the school. In very small schools they have only 2 possible choices. In gymnasiums they must have at least three.
My daughter chose Enlish and then German. Then again, in her school they don't have Swedish teacher.
