Just wanted to say hi as I haven't talked to you in awhile.

I also didn't think there was anything particularly wrong with the word 'parading', but oh well.

It wouldn't be hootoo if we didn't inadvertently insult or upset at least one person a day!

From your title I guess you must have picked up on the Nasty Old Man post I got into My Space from Viscious Vicky?. I posted back, but haven't bothered to look for a reply yet.

She is some woman that one!

Myself, Jules and the two cats are fine, thanks for asking. I've been lucky to get 2 cataracts removed in 18 months, just waiting for the 'All Clear' on the second - then its another pair of specs for me (££££'s) but I am not complaining, I am lucky to have my full sight back.

We now have 11 granchildren.....but that's a long story!

I thought 'parading' was a reasonable choice too, but as you say we upset someone every day, but I was sad that Ed took the 'hump' over it.

Still only 5 degrees here today, so I trust you and Noggin (?) are warm and cosy aand have one or two of these or to hand.

Yep, saw that. Also saw the fake apology. Don't worry, it's one of her techniques. First she is incredibly rude to someone. Then she goes back to 'apologise' except it's really only to try and shift the blame onto someone else - in this case, Effers (was a time she used to blame me for everything, so I'm well up on her nasty ways). She's doing the same thing on other people's PS's right now too, I guess hoping someone will be stupid enough to believe her. Badmouthing Effers knowing she can't respond. Nice, eh?

Only 5º! I've been wearing sandals for almost a month now, novo. Though it's still a bit chilly at night most days it's around 20-25º.

Nog and I just got back from a 4-day trip to the Algarve over Easter week, which was rather nice. You can see my photos here if you like...

Hey, that's great news about your cataracts! It must be wonderful to have your full sight back. I wish something could be done for Nog's deafness (he's 80% deaf in one ear) but apparently it's inoperable and a hearing aid is the only option.

11 grandchildren definitely sounds like a long story! You going to tell it one day?

Sorry to hear (pun) of Nogs deafness, and yes hearing aids work often. My mum is 90 and up to last year was deaf as a post in one ear (caused several complicated incidents! )- but she now has an aid which has brought her back into the world the rest of the family live in. It has increased her quality of life enormously - and we can all stop shouting now!

I'll tell the story of the 11 one day perhaps, but not now - I'm supposed to be working!!

I think that was most tactful and reasonable of you ... clearly showing that you are in fact *not* a 'nasty old man'. Honestly, imagine starting a thread on somebody's PS with such an insulting subject title.

Really, you were much nicer to her than she deserved.
