I think it is time that I was explicit about what I do. I am a courtesan, a professional mistress. I do not consider myself to be a prostitute, though I am sure the more narrow minded would dispute that. I do not get paid in money rather in gifts. I have a few lovers and an husband who was once one of the former. I spend time, entertain, accompany these men when they are in London on business. Some times the inevitable happens, sometimes it doesn't. Does this shock? I hope not.

In this day and age, what can be classed as shocking?
With murder, war and lurid scandals making the headlines can a discreet encounter be shocking.
