The weekend...

Holidays are fun, especially when you don't have to work! That was this weekend, it was Memorial day weekend and we all got a long weekend to enbale us to do something to remember those we lost and those who survived in our various military campaigns. I took the time out to remember my grandfather, who served briefly in the RAF and then came to the US and served in the Army as drill sgt. And a friend from HS who was paralyzed when his troop transport crashed in Germany.
Otherwise, took time out to relax form both jobs and help my roommate out with some men trouble. (She really likes her best friends' ex-boyfriend, and he really likes her). The conclusion? Men suck. Irrational yes, but it's making her feel better about his not calling when he said he would...

Well, the call has been placed. We shall see now if he'll return it. I need his help too, weirdness coming at me from a different direction (a married one) and I don't quite know how to handle the situation...

Wish me luck...

Okay, I need as much luck and good vibes as I can get. I am about to make a huge leap of faith and ask out one of my dearest friends. I know that it's generally in rather questionable taste to try and cross that line. But, there's seems to be a connection there which goes beyond friendship. That should be recognized or, at least, discussed. I still haven't figured out how yet, but the words will come (I hope). I'll keep you posted on my progress...

Boys, sorry...Men

Okay, I love men. I will say it now, because I have to keep reminding myself of that. But, why are they so confusing?!? How do you handle it when weirdness injects itself into a perfectly good friendship? Oy. I guess I just have to sit through this one and see how it ends...

Okay, so I avoided the rain. But not the problems with men. My roommate and I both are having major issues. Needless to say my apartment is a very high stress environment at the moment. It should all be over soon...I hope.
