i highly recommend Mary Jane, another natural mental bender....

abstract concepts sounds like my kinda thing. i'm sure you will be able to jump-start my hey-wire thoughts.

i don't have any background in chemistry(except high school), but find it fascinatig and love reading about quantum phisics, applied/abstract maths etc.

Grant Naylor? "Better Than Life" is marvellous, if only for the genius of Talkie Toaster TM (patent applied for). The spaghettification bit seems rather good as a starting point on the theme of abstract concepts. Literally rather abstract.

I'm not too hot on chemistry though; I reckon I could just force a discussion on halogens, but not much else... fancy some seaweed?
