If you click on each link, they will take you to parts of hootoo no sane person should ever go alone on this site.....

......but as it seems no one here is sane, it doesn't matter does it!

Have a look around, pop into my personal space and read some conversations that I have on the go at the moment and you will see how things work. Don't be frightened to jump in on conversations, hootooers don't bite (well, some of them do, but I'll steer you well clear of those), just be aware of the thread you are reading and whether or not it is a private conversation between two people.

Hello Lil!!

I've been digging around in the cellars tonight, just looking at old, past history stuff. I've just realised that I never, ever got back to the original message you posted welcoming me here. Sorry it's taken so long, but thanks!!!

I've had great fun since I joined (Feb 2005) - in fact there is no other website I have ever visited so often. Life has changed quite a bit since then. I met a wonderful girl here, fell madly in love, packed my bags and left the UK for sunnier climes. And all because of HooToo!

I'm back in the UK for a few days at the moment. Access to H2G2 is difficult from Portugal because we only have a very slow and expensive dial up connection, so I'm making the most of my broadband line while I'm here. That won't be for too much longer though - I'm currently clearing the house and having all the services disconnected because I don't plan to be back in the UK for the foreseeable future.

Anyway, thanks for the welcome, albeit a little belated!!

I certainly wish you and your friend "all the very best" and for your future.

Shame we will miss seeing you around in hootoo, but don't be a stranger. It would be nice to have you keep in touch occasionally

Oh, I'll be around Lil, you'll never keep me away from here! My girlfriend U857383 (who you may well know) and I are trying our hardest to get a broadband connection at home in Portugal. It's a bit of a struggle, but we are getting ever closer and as soon as we achieve it then I'll be back full time. At the moment I only post in a few threads because of the cost of the dialup connection. I'm spending about 5 Euro's a day just doing that, so you can see that the bill is mounting!!

In the meantime, I'm missing a lot of the cut and thrust of all the magical things that go on here, but I'm definately not going anywhere, that's for sure!

Well, as promised, I'm back full time! I've even got my first entry sitting in Peer Review at the moment.

The Broadband connection took longer than expected - it's very much a 'mañana' thing over here, but we finally achieved it a few weeks ago, and I've been here more or less full time ever since!

It's taken a while to get back up to speed, but most of my old friends are still here, the convos look as interesting as ever and all the old and new debates continue. I've particularly enjoyed the discussions about Profanity Filters today!!

Time literally flies in here

And it's flown again!

Thanks lil! Time definitely has flown - but that's mainly because I'm being kept busy by my wife and house rebuilding matters.

Hopefully I'll be able to put in a little more of a regular appearance on h2g2 - I certainly have missed it - along with all my friends!
