How're you finding yourself?

Post 1

I'm afraid I absolutely am incapable of helping with Yahoo groups (I still haven't figured those guys out and I've been a moderator there for damn near two years) but otherwise, how are you finding yourself with the UG?

We may go off on occasional rants that are understandably incomprehensible to those who have not been around for a while (like the current flurry of emails), so if you ever have any questions, I can assure you that the UG Eds and miners and polishers are excellent people (I wouldn't have let them in otherwise) and any one of them will be willing to help you out or explain something to you. I'm always here in case you have any questions.

Just think - soon enough, a newbie miner might be coming to you, seeking advice. smiley - smiley

'Course, there's another answer to that question:

'I didn't know I'd lost myself; I know I'm absent minded but, by gad!'

smiley - musicalnote I once was lost... but now am found... smiley - musicalnote

I wouldn't worry about the style of emails, by the way. We all write and behave in our own styles - that's what makes the UG so special and dizzying at the same time smiley - smiley

'Baa! Baa! Blacksheep, have you any woo...?'

I'm still not clear about the sheep bit! (rhyming slang for decency's sake)

It's not that old joke about Welshman is it? You know, about them having long wellies so they can shove the sheep's back legs down them so that they can...
...well I leave the rest to your imagination. 'Cos if it is that joke, it was about Welsh shepherds, not flippin' miners!smiley - winkeye.
I can get away with this one; I am of Welsh descent! Are the Welsh decent? you ask. Well, some of 'em! (boom boom!)
And for my next...

Have you done that bloody paperwork yet, or are you just wasting Ug's time?

No, my sheep is my travelling companion smiley - smiley He has no proper name, but if I have to call him something, it's Buck, or Sheep.

I don't do paperwork. I'm far, far too important for that. I delegate smiley - ok If you aren't going to do it, it'll probably fall on some poor fella who wanted to go on a vacation with his family, but can't now.
Oh well smiley - evilgrin

You little devil,you!

I never know whether I should believe you or not!

What's with this paperwork business anyway... we're in the damned computer age, or have you forgotten. Paperwork is for losers and behind the times organizations.

If you have anything to delegate, just bleedin' ask, don't pussyfoot around like a pregnant duck!

You and I are in the damned computer age - I don't know about the others. You can convince them of anything, really.

As a rule of thumb, you shouldn't ever believe me smiley - smiley
