Just stopping by to say 'hi', as your name caught my eye - I'm currently about halfway through my first reading of 'Magician'... am I on completely the wrong track?!

REALY, realy, realy ,realy sorry I didn't ggive you an awnser back but I seem to keep forgetting about the reactions to my HP. ANyway, yes you're correct my name was borrowed from the prince from magicians. Just wanting to say that I'll hope you'll drop by again sometimes so maybe we can discuss the book or another fantasy story.
Last but not least, I'll pay more attention to the incoming forums.

So not a problem with the delay! Talking of books, I finished Silverthorn this morning, and am about to start A Darkness at Sethanon. Any discussion of this or any story is cool - I'm a junkie for books!
Look forward to hearing from you!!

I'm only a junkie for Fantasty books, especially the published ADenD stories. THere easy and fast too read for if you have some time off.
Anyway, what did you think of Silverthorn?? I thought it wasnt as good as Magicians but that't ofcourse only my opinion.

I enjoyed Silverthorn, although for different reasons than Magician: Magician was just a huge book time span-wise, with lots of plot threads and character introduction and development. Silverthorn was covering a smaller time period and basically only one story - a quicker read for both reasons - although obviously the story continues in 'Sethanon'. But hey, you know all this already, so what am I babbling about!
What are the 'ADenD stories'? Sorry if I'm being a bit thick.

Well, you just wait until you read 'Sethanon'. It's absolutely brilliant. IMHO it's the best one in the series.
Oops, it seems like I forgot something. Hello Calypte . Always good to see another fantasy lover

Sorry, I meant the (advanced) dungeons and dragons storie. As you might now ADenD is a fantasy roll-playing game, and some people who played these games wrote their stories down. Their not brilliant but just weird and fun to read as they read easily.

I only really discovered the fantasy stuff a year or so ago, previously it was horror, then science fiction - both of which I still read. So I still have a lot of 'classics' to discover, methinks... all suggestions welcome!
And hello to you to, Kheldar!

When you're finished with those, let us know and we'll think about some others

This will prob. take some time to read unless you're having a months vacation and nothing planned.

Especially the Jordan ones. We're talking about at least 600 pages a book, and we're up to book eight by now

Some good ideas there - but you forgot Stephen Donaldson! I have read quite a lot of fantasy already, although not everything on your list by any means... !
hello
Kheldar (Don't hate the media, Become the media) Posted Sep 6, 2000
I agree. Although I must confess that I haven't read Donaldson myself (yet). This small list is just what I came up with after taking a quick glance through my bookshelves, so it's only a small portion of the titles I could give you
