The first I heard of your life's upheaval was the announcement in another thread that you'd changed to medieaval history. Congratulations Floh! I wish you all happiness with your choice. Strange as it may seem to some, I think it's a fascinating subject. And you couldn't get much further from what you were doing before!
I hope all else is sorted out now, and that you will be really happy for the next few years - well the rest of your life, too, really, and that things will work out all round. If you ever come to visit the Cathedral in Speyer or Trifels in Annweiler, let me know and I'll join you!
