thank you for your kind ...and wise... words.......

there is a trilogy of shorts ...Pulses, the wick ends of candles, and orphans of god ... which i am trying to wrap into one chapter of a book on the meaning of faith...... i weant to call the chapter "orphans of god"... a kind of meditation on suffering.....

anyway .... as i say .... what you said is helpful ... i won't allow that one to go anywhere ..... though i do believe that i retain copyright....

thanks agian

ps your page rocks

You're very welcome. You've provided a wealth of reading in the AWW that I'm taking my time to read.

I think you've answered a query I had running in my mind after reading Pulses - to do with reason behind its writing, its focus, and a sense of detachment even in the telling of the immediate story. You have a context for the piece which isn't there in it as a stand alone piece.

I haven't read Orphans of God yet, but I will do.

About copyright - you definitely retain copyright.

What you wouldn't have, in the case of a copy entry being made for the Post or UnderGuide, is the ability to delete that copy of the entry on h2g2. So theoretically there just could be a problem with other publishers if those other publishers got heavy about having 'sole rights' themselves. Entries you create yourself on h2g2 you have full editing control over - so absolutely no problem with those. I doubt there's much problem, full stop, in real terms. Just thought you should be aware of how BBCh2g2 works.

My page is long due an overhaul, I think smiley - winkeye. It's in its seventh year, but it's comfy so I keep not bothering.
