Yeah, that's pretty silly. I'm of the opinion that a good editor stands up for his writers and does everything in his power to help them. The UG is generally pretty good about that at the gem polisher and UG Ed level, but that's probably why I get so frustrated by Jims et al. They aren't so much Editors as bureaucrats.
Or maybe it's too late for me, too.
