Hello Agnes - you don't mind if I call you Agnes, do you? Of course not. Welcome to h2g2 - I'm one of the Assistant Community Editors, so if you need any advice on anything h2g2 related, feel free to ask!
If you're looking for somewhere to go, you might want to try the welcome page for newcomers - http://www.h2g2.com/A5752 - or the Aces' homepage - http://www.h2g2.com/A214796 - which has lots of interesting links.
I also suggest you keep an eye on the front page, as it gets updated daily with all the latest goodies. You can also click on my name to visit my homepage, should you be that way inclined... Have fun!
Welcome!

Hej Doctor Vibenstein, of course you may call me Agnes, all my good friends do, but, what shall I call you, Doctor Vibenstein is so formal, what does the E stand for?
Thankyou for the links, I will go to them as soon as time permits, and I shall visit your homepage as well, and shall look forward to doing it.
I noticed that a lot of researchers have ACE after their name, and I was wondering what it meant. What is your connection to h2g2? Are you a paid Editor???
The H2G2 homepage was very informative, and there is indeed lots to do here. I look forward to roaming around and finding lots of good things to read.
Welcome!

The E doesn't stand for anything... don't worry, it confuses a lot of people. Most people call me EV, or Doc, or "hey you"... but I do prefer EV.
ACE stands for Assistant Community Editor - we don't get paid by h2g2, we're just ordinary researchers like you, but we help out Peta (the Community Editor) and Abi (her deputy) by greeting new researchers, answering questions and generally pointing people in the right direction.
There is a lot to see and contribute to here... give it a week or so and you'll probably be addicted!
Welcome!

You are so kind, thankyou, though I must admit to being slightly overwhelmed. How do you get into some of the conversations? Is it rude to just interrupt???

Free Advice~
At some point you may want to try a search to find your way. As I have posted elsewhere, just for instance, a search for "42 Squirrels" leads to Orange County CA, of course you could have guessed that. Glad to help, keep in touch.
