The arch-villain to this piece is going to be an icky Viscount. And it all starts out with the aftermath of losing a pub-room bet a retribution for a tremendous insult,-incognito (of course)...

Your having mentioned soup has made me think of a comedy programme I've only just had the oppertunity to see, 'The Mighty Boosh', I love it, I 've only seen two episodes, but I'm hooked, it's been a while since a recent comedy creation has made me revel in the deliciousness of the humour. Shows these days seem so hackneyed and mundane, but this show appeal directly to my own sense of humour.

I was referring to the "soup nazi" from Seinfield. you're right though it seems that good humour is rather hard to find these days. the tricjk is that there has to be just the right balance between the amount of mundaness giving yield to absurdity and actual ridiculousness that goes on, and it is only funny if noit overdone/ when not trying to hard.
