Hello Muv
Well I don't know if I will catch you before you head to bed for the night (I keep forgetting it's last night almost *everywhere* but here ), but I thought I would at least try to remember to catch you before the end of the day.
(, not speaking so well yet...been away for about 4 hours and no to speak of...)
Anyway
My mate Chris is a big fan of yours, so I thought I'd drop by and introduce myself .
*curtsies again*
I'm Kristy, nice to meet you !

Hi Kristy
nice to meet you at last ... Chris told me you might pop in for a chat and I'm all for a nice natter - only problem is I'm not up all night like he is so I guess you and I don't hit this place at the same sort of time do we
Well, no worries, messages are good ... that's the nicest part about this place So - I'd be glad to chat whenever you get the chance ... I'm Karen btw ... I guess you're at work are you??? I'm on a 2 week break at the mo but I have to go back next week . The only good part is that next Friday Chris is coming up to see me for the weekend ... can't wait for that - he's such a sweet bloke it'll be lovely to see him again.
Anyway, I'm rambling again ... so thanks for popping by and I hope we can chat again when you get time
take care *waves*

Hi Karen !
First off, for the ridiculously late reply…things get the better of me and soon enough I have no idea what’s going on !!
Well I hope you had a nice holiday anyway ! The closest thing I have to a holiday is three days off next week – and I’m heading to Canberra
(translation for Non-Aussies: Canberra is one of the most boring places in Australia…when people are thinking of fun places, they think of Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney…Canberra is full of politicians and public servants)
(having said that I’ll be up to play with two dear friends of mine, one of whom just happens to be the Coolest Chick in the Universe – so we’ll make our own fun !)
I’m glad that the two of you are doing so well…
Well I’ve been somewhere in between rambling and terse today, so I figure I better stop before I write another novel!
Catch you soon

Hi Kristy
First of all, no worries about not getting round to replying ... I have a long list of people here I should have sent messages to but somehow there just never quite seems to be the time ... so I understand completely
well, I'm back at work now ... first full week back ... I'd actually forgotton how boring this job can be ... funny how it all comes flooding back isn't it. It's only saving grace sometimes is that the girls I work with are and we do have a laugh most of the time so guess I'll be here for a while yet.
I hope you enjoy your trip .... it's not the place it's the company that makes it special so from the sounds of it you'll have a wild time there and come back for a rest which is just the way holidays should be. Come back and tell me all about it when you get home ok??
Chris and I had a smashing weekend ... we did loads of stuff including playing golf - well Chris did, I just sort of thrashed around a bit with the club but the best bit of all was I got to spend some time with the bloke which is a precious commodity for us ... no amount of s here can replace the real thing !! Now I have to wait 4 weeks before we can get together again which feels like a long time at the mo.
Anyway, m'dear, thanks for getting in touch ... like I said, enjoy the break from work and I'll catch up with you again soon.

Hey Muv, hope this note finds you well and good
Well it sounds like a few things have been happening over there. Work is very rarely fun, but it serves a purpose I suppose...it pays the rent, buys the food, and gives us something to do to keep us occupied...I think the longest I've been off work was for a week...but the last couple of days I'd gone completely !
(Even more than usual )
And I'm glad things are going so well for you guys . I like it when nice things happen for nice people. It makes me feel like there might be some justice in the world after all .
But four weeks is a long time isn't it ? You'll have to let me know any tips or tricks you have to make the time go faster...my fella's supposed to be heading away at some point, and when he goes he'll be gone for a year. I'll need all the little tricks I can come up with
(The plan is of course that it will give me time to write the book that's been bouncing around inside my head for so long...but I don't know how well I'll be able to write when I miss him just thinking about him not being here ...)
Anyway, we're tough, aren't we ? And even though there no real subsitute for the real thing, you know there's always a here for you if you need one !
Talk to you later, Muv !

Hi Kristy
Thanks for your message ... how are you ever gonna manage for a WHOLE YEAR - that doesn't bear thinking about . Why is your fella going away for that long?? I assume it's work related is it??? C'mon ... tell me all about him - what's his name, what does he do, how long have you known him, - I want the full 9 yards ... and, yes, I'm basically just nosey but that's a girl thing isn't it (oh, and feel free to tell me to mind my own business if you want )
... and it goes without saying that when the Time Comes there will be s here for you too ...
Well, it's Monday morning and hi-ho hi-ho, it's back to work we go ... but the weather's taken a turn for the worse these last few days so at least I'm not sitting in work looking at the sunshine any more (well, actually, I can't see the outside world anyway - no windows ) ... just got a week full of the usual domestic stuff this week nothing exciting ... how 'bout you??
well, best get on with something before the Boss realises that these nice little smiley faces on my screen have nothing whatsoever to do with work
catch ya later

thought I'd just drop in and say hi ... did you ever get to Canberra, and probably more importantly - did you get back??? Maybe you're still there ... my God, the possibilities are endless
Anyway ... when you get a mo I want all the gossip - how's your friend and did you get drunk and embarrassing ???? and if not why not
Nothing much going on here ... I'm marking time until next weekend when I go down and see Chris again . Hope things there are good for you ...
Catch ya soon

Hey Karen
I’ve become the biggest idiot lately. I don’t know why, but my brain just seems to turn off for no reason. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always been the kind of girl who has to keep a notebook handy so I remember things – it’s just now I forget to read the notebook
Canberra was a hoot ! Got up on Thursday night and had a “few” drinks with Ivan (Ivan the Terribly Average, one of the Canberra hootoo researchers ). It was a little scary, meeting up with someone for the first time. I mean we’ve been mates in here for *ages*, but you never know what it’s going to be like face to face, do you ? Luckily he turned out to be a smashing fella, if he lived in my neighbourhood he’d definitely be a pub buddy of mine
(He’s supposed to be coming down in October so we’ll hopefully get a chance to have a few more then )
And my beautiful girl is as beautiful as ever. I went up equipped with cameras, but unfortunately every time I remembered I was too dishevelled to even contemplate having a photo taken (I don’t even like photos when I’m at my prime, because in all honesty my prime aint so hot ).
But anyway I’m rambling again
Hope you’re feeling more at ease with work now, if you get a chance give Chris a big and from me – and I’ll make sure he gives the same to you on my behalf

hello you
worry not ... my post wasn't a hint or anything ... I'm a *note* person myself. I use post-it notes by the kettle , the kitchen's usually covered in the darn things and eventually, if they're there long enough, the sticky goes and they come adrift and I find one of the cats wandering round with a post-it stuck on it's tail or something
glad you had a good time in Canberra ... I used to pass the time of day with Ivan on the *Last One to Post Here Wins* thread ... he always seemed like a good sort - I used to catch him wandering in from the garden when I got into work some days. It is a bit scary meeting up for the first time tho, I know what you mean, but I think eventually you get to know people so well that the fact that you've never met doesn't really matter ...
work's ok - back in the swing of the whole thing now - got another week off at the end of October so counting down to that now
anyway - I'll certainly pass on the s and stuff next weekend for you ... no worries there ...
catch up soon
