Treat it like a library or bookstore with many rooms. Most of the shelving, as you say, is covered by tripe but the University section of h2g2 looks promising. smiley - tea ed.

I have an urge to learn something different from the usual drivel, though. I'm tempted by some Art History, and I've got a big, thick book with pictures. We'll see.

Season's Greets the wean!

Hope you are well?

Here's a thread (and link) that may be of more than passing interest...

Best regards, ed.smiley - teasmiley - tea

Jock Tamson's Bairn

Well, Hello there.

Welcome to the newness of the year, etc.

I have to say, smilies don't really do it for me.

If I could have a whole conversation with them, like a sort of hieroglyphic message, that would greatly thrill me. It's the little touches that poke me in the eye much of the time.

If you go over to the Christian Board, for example, there are intolerant right-wing religious nutters that garnish their messages with peacedoves - just icky really.

You don't happen to do by any chance?

I'm going away for a bit cause I've got a bit of premodding on my username and I can't stand the time lag.

I'll still be back here occasionally though, but I've got a heap of work on right now, and some deadlines that are appearing dodgier by the day.

Take good care now.

I can recommend the following link for its educational value if nothing else. Anyway, it amuses me: http://gregpalast.com/

Hi, the wean and thanks for the link...

It appears i didn't post the address of my current obsession (a good one, i think...) anyhoo, http://eclipse2006.netfirms.com is where i meant to direct...

Greg Palast was an unknown here 'til now.

Don't you find talking to the religious a bit tiresome and way too circular, yet?

With best regards,

ed.
