h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I moved south from NYC because my company moved their headquarters to Texas. Actually, I wanted to end up in California, and I figured that the move would put me halfway there. That was 12 years ago, and I am not so sure about CA anymore. Believe it or not, I seriously considered moving to Toronto (in Canada, eh) but at the time the job market wasn't so hot and I'd have to take a cut in pay. Besides, Toronto is as expensive as NYC to live in, so I'd have less money to have fun with. I am in computers, a programmer/analyst type.
I don't know what the market is up there now ... how good can it be if you are in Asia?!?!
