why is it that someplace describing itself as a mega-store doesn't have a single copy of "money for nothing" ?

Could it be that they sold their last copy in 1987?
They might be fed up of telling people there's no demand for it.
They might have misunderstood you, thinking that you wanted to give them money without making a purchase.
If you are really desperate, let me know and I'll check the plant pots to see which records I made them out of. (grammar!)

Ah, well.... yes, it does make sense that even a mega-store wouldn't have albums that are no longer being made. "Sultans of Swing" is good even if it's lacking my favorite song.
