Hi WickedGilly, I spotted a comment that you made somewhere that got me thinking, but I can't find the comment (did come across a couple of gems though).

You mentioned a kiddies book and illustrator. I've been telling my little one stories that he loves and tells back the next day, so I reckon they might have potential. I was thinking about writing them down, but wouldn't have a clue where to start. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Finbarr.

Absolutely no idea whatsoever. BUT I live in a tiny little place in Asia, which means the competition is not as tough as in the UK where we all know the true talent and genius resides. This, in my view, gives me a fighting chance, so if I finally get the illustrator sober enough to finish the art work and I make some headway with any publisher that is willing to escape the mundane existence of standard kid stuff (admittedly I prefer something a little more twisted since I had a Victorian upbringing from my war baby parents...), then I will let you know. Its a definite objective of mine this year (but then so is dieting, trying to be less scruffy etc) but I will keep you briefed. I guess I will move over to writersdock.co.uk and I promise I will let you know if anything good happens. I have contact with one publisher who wants honest to goodness chjildren's stories but they seem to find it a hassle if you don't live here in our tiny island. I will send you their details when I am at work tomorrow (and if I forget, remind me!).
