A little told me you were looking for me.
Was my space really moderated?
I wonder why.
Can you see anything wrong with it?

No .... I wasn't actually looking for you, I was just lucky to find you. I had been chasing a lot of tail with all the new arrivals and was so tired I let the whoremones get the better of me. I was looking in the wrong place for your bits, Eccentrica. There was nothing wrong with them, as everyone will testify.
Sorry for spreading alarm.
Carry on plying your trade as usual.

A hundred inches of worm?
(By the way, does my space look big in this? U189267 )

If you insist on including a million suns, what do you expect? I like the picture of Carmen Miranda.
Walt Whitman. Hadn't though of him for years and now you've gone and *'@#ing reminded me how unhappy I was:
a) having to read and analyse his stuff, and
b) with the marks I received for the above.
I cannot tell you how grateful I am (with the mod squad around) for bringing this to my attention.

They gave you interesting stuff like Walt Whitman?
We had Macbeth and Graham Greene and the *'@#ing War Poets.
(Mind, I enjoyed the Catullus )

You're saying it does look fat aren't you!
OK then, which pair of shoes should I wear with it......?

I read a good bit (well actually a substantial amount) of Greene's Le Rocher de Brighton in an attempt to help a French acquaintance who had it as a set book. The only thing I can remember (well nearly) is struggling to explain the pun in the title - the book cover showed Pinkie standing near a church sized rocky outcrop on a beach. I eventually gave him a lick of my little stick of Blackpool rock, that cured the misunderstanding.
I also had difficulty in convincing him that the English do not say "If" as a contradictory positive assertion. "Oh No you didn't." "Oh If I did." "Give me your teacher's name and I'll **@## write to him."
Right, where's my bag of mouse flavoured biscuits. I'm off to look for Catullus. If it's not better than "Arma virumque cano ..." there's gonna be trouble.

By one of those strange coincidences, I got it out last night and had to whack it with a screwdriver to make it more manageable. It's resting on the top shelf of this desk thing. (Actually it is a grey desk but I don't want you to read anything into that.)
I've made a start on that Catullus stuff, but so far I haven't found many laughs apart from the dead sparrow and wondering if it were the inspiration for the Churchillian trouser anecdote.
There's still a lot to go.

It sounds as though you haven't had it out for a long time.
If it's that hard perhaps you ought to toss it (or give it to me to suck) and get another next time you're in Brighton.
You don't want to risk breaking your teeth at your age.
Catullus only scored in comparison to Virgil (and the war poets) (though I'm sure I remember some sex in there somewhere - unless it was just being a 14 year old that made it seem that way )

Hey, there's something strange going on. Either I missed posts 9 & 10 or they weren't there when I posted what is now 11.
"Big" ? No it doesn't *look* big. It's beautifully proportioned and, anyway, I like big.
"Shoes" ? I like those you're wearing; I always have but they look new in this light. Do you have several similar or just look after them carefully?
"Carmen Miranda had three too?" No. She had several pears.
I don't go for that southern jessie Brighton rock. It has to be Blackpool. No problem with the teeth. The dentist still has the plans so I can just 'phone for a new set when they get blunt. Tell you what though: this central heating is useless for my rock eating preference. Pre central heating (alternating hot, cold, dry, damp) would quickly turn rock soft so that it would easily dissolve like Edinburgh rock but with stronger flavour. Mind you, if you left it too long it would turn to mush and you'd need a spoon.
It is said that W.L.S. Churchill was, on one occasion, advised that his flies were undone. To this the G.O.M. replied "Dead birds don't fall out of the nest.".

Rocks too hard eh? That's a tough nut to crack - I'll try to work out a solution for you.
