The Tyranny of Good Intentions
Posted Aug 4, 2000
I read this book yesterday and would recommend it to anyone who wanted to know the current state of affairs concerning the American legal system. Much of what the book details would disturb most free minded individuals. Don't let the review on the back cover by G. Gordon Liddy throw you. This book makes clear that government oppression is not a right-left issue, but rather a universal evil that should be resisted by all free people. The book gives a brief history of the evolution of rights in an English speaking society and how those right are being suborned. With plenty of case examples and small details this book is a great though alarming weekend read.
When rights are subordinated to government power, the first steps toward tyranny are taken.

Well today we had a nice little bomb threat to the good ol Governemt. Someone had placed a hip pack in a newspaper vending machine out in front of the building. It was called into the po'lice as questionable. So we evacuated our marble and reinfoced cement building to go outside and watch as the streets were blocked off and the bomb squad came out to chech it.
What fun istead of sitting inside in relative protection we all go out to watch as the po'lice first shot the hip pack then sent in an bomb tech in a mobil tank suit to look at the tatered remains of someones lunch!
