I think this competition should be open to all - I will supply the prize of an email - Been there - Done it - T-Shirt.
I'll write a page on the competition and post the daily winners on it.
The competition will officially start on Sunday at 8am GMT and I will update the page at 8am daily with the winners of the day - next Sunday I'll Post the winner for the week. I will try and use my influence to push it in the POST and ask Peta and Abi to push it on the front page of h2g2.

well, how would this go? I mean, surely this would be a bit biased? The most posts changes with every minute too! Why, at 4 am I am always #1 because I'm about the only one that is up (in the 24 hour period). I just don't see how it is possible. Plus, if you say that you'll check who's #1 at a certain time that isn't fair to the others either

Well - it was a good idea but I have emailed to towers on this one and they don't want me to go ahead even though they thought it was a good idea.
They wish the stats page to remain confidential at this time although they may publish it in the future.
So stats remain something only available to a few of us - sorry everybody but it has to stop here until I get official blessing from the Towers. No good discussing technicallities. I will ensure that when when these figures are openningly published - I will go ahead with the idea - then we can thrash out the technical side.

That is probably a good thing. Otherwise some NUTS might just go out there just to be #1!!!!!!! That would make for a lot of 'junk' content. I don't really care about the stats myself anyway, (though it WAS nice to be number one once.).

I only ever go there to view which are the current conversations anyway.
It's just nice to know I'm usually in the most prolific colomn as well, it just happens.
