Welcome PAVLO! I am Abi - the Deputy Community Editor. Any qestions at all - just ask one of the ACEs like Busking Bob, Peta the Community Editor or myself.
Suggestions as to where to go on the guide? How about the Newcomer's Page: http://www.h2g2.com/A5752 or you could go and visit the ACEs at their communal page: http://www.h2g2.com/A214796.
No wait! There is more - how about a virtual beer? You could nip over to the h2g2 pub; the Forum & Firkin - you can find it at http://www.h2g2.com/A187508 . Or you can ask the combined intellectual might of the Community any question you like at Ask h2g2: http://www.h2g2.com/A148907
Suggestions as to building your house? Well bricks might be a good start!

Abi - excellent tip, using bricks. Now, how about a forum on useful tips? I don't mean the ones that always turn up in magazines, I'm thinking more of the obscure tips that people use without realizing that it might be useful for others. For instance - use strips of polythene and a hot iron to make an emergency hem. Or rub wet soap along the inside of creases before ironing to get a really sharp stay-longer crease. (Military background showing here, I'm afraid!)
If you could kick it off from the Community Editors page I would be happy to collect the info and knock it into some sort of order. This would be a good exercise for me as a junior ACE and SUB.
Suggested themes: DIY, Arts and Crafts, Hobbies, Household, Driving, Travelling, Cooking (although that would be probably too much!)
Anyway, must dash - I'm hoping to be playing at the campfire later!

If no bricks are available... doughnuts would make a jolly good substitute... and me will even volunteer to house sit for you when you are away... ~grin~

Hi greebo. The word available is a big, nice, virtual brick. Thank you. I will use it. If you have more to say about this word, just say it.
Ps. I loved your homepage.
Pavlo.
