Crescent, thanks for your message, it's good to get something, everyone here's been so nice, blah blah cliches. I like the set-up here so far, but I'm still trying to work out what to write a contribution about. So much of my interest (music, beer) seems to be covered, are there any sections of the guide which could tell me what hasn't been written about?

You can write anything you want to - fiction, stories, surreal stuff, factual, fanciful - anything. However if you want it to get into the Approved Guide then it will need to be factual. A good place to start is where you live, or grew up, a restraunt you like that sort of thing, a hobby is also a good idea, a history of a band you like, anything. There is a list for antideluvian Entries that need to be re written at http://www.h2g2.com/A237241 there is another list with some more items that need to be written about, but I cannot find it at the mo' I hope this gives you some ideas
