Welcome to the neighbourhood!
You may have noticed that the management requests using the UK spelling of wourds, which is easier if you think with a British accent. eg.What is your favourite colour, eh? (maybe that's a bit Aussie, but Oh well)

Fear not, my Merkin (a new term for us Americans I picked up on this site... a lot better than 'Yank', don't you think?) friend. This is a multinational community, and you'll find many more Merkins about, with large helpings of Aussies, Kiwis, Micks, Canucks and even a sprinkling of continental Europeans, to add just the right amount of spice. smiley - winkeye

I am a member of the ACE's, whose job it is to officially greet newcomers and help them find their way around a bit in the goo. I've got a few links to help you get started... let's see... they were here a second ago... maybe I left them in my other pants... was I wearing pants?... ah, here we go:

The Official ACE page is here: http://www.h2g2.com/A214796 It has some more greeting type stuff, and some more links to help you get started.

When you decide you're ready to write that first guide entry, you'll probably want to check this out first: http://www.h2g2.com/A53209 It has the guidelines for what H2G2 is looking for in an Approved Guide Entry. Of course, if you're not looking for fame, you can write whatever you choose.

And whenever you run into technical problems, the GuideML clinic will teach you how to solve them: http://www.h2g2.com/A187229

If you have any further questions, or just want to chat, I am at your assistance.
