Hey BEAST! I'm here to help- here goes...

BIGG piccies- can't really help you there. The Smilies are all you get- in forum posting, and in plain text.

Go over to the h2g2 GuideML Clinic (Picture Tag Section); this is at (http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A184961). This has images you can use in GuideML Guide Entries, and nowhere else, and how to use them.

Changing font colour? It can be done, again, in GuideML- and ONLY in GuideML, but as they're upgrading the system, it soon won't work, as you can only use GuideML commands. Your tag was right, there, but *guideML and HTML only work in Guide Entries and do not work in the forum, or anywhere else.* (That's why I had to use * instead of !)

About that- Italic-bold-underline in a Guide entry? Again, use the standard HTML tags.

Oh- you DO have to set the Entry style to GuideML. It really helps.

From what I've been hearing, you've been away for a while, I'd guess for about a year- because that's when h2g2 joined the BBC and reopened. About a year. We now have strict rules- such as, no pictures from outside and no links to the outside allowed. I know, it stinks, but it's part of the BBC's rules. Check the House Rules- it should clear things up.

Edited- congrats! That would be "APPROVED" in the old language- we just retermed it. If it was Approved before, it's Edited now. And there's no "submit for editing"- as the queue was months long, they now have a peer review system in place- where a Scout will decide if it goes on to the next level.

Being an ACE? I get to help people who come frantically looking around for help. I also get to greet the wandering, lost newcomers- it's fun. What do you mean by ACEluggage, though? It's mostly just a nice thing to do, although we do get to risk our computers on unstable beta software from h2g2 occasionally.

So, has my babbling on and on helped you any?

*chuckle* Well, that would be a bit of a problem- you have to add the text before you start, and at the end.

Also, GuideML is not HTML. All tags must be closed- so empty tags such as , have to be "semiclosed" by putting the slash at the end:
