hi Hoo,
Didn't you once write an entry on what to do if you get fired? I seem to remember seeing it somewhere but can't find it now. I was going to post a link to it on Grey Desk's journal as he just got fired and might find it helpful. Or perhaps you'd like to post the link yourself?

A956315. I didn't write it - it was a weekly collaborative entry. I contributed about 5% of it, if that. And no, I'm not subbed to my page, which is why I didn't see this until now... (also alex was.... distracting me )

Ugh, horrible image...feel dirty...thp thp...having already found out that Az ran out of knickers when M&S left and that she laughs when people make mistakes (during everything?!) I do not want any other thoughts or images in my head...good or bad!
Hope you are enjoying the hols and you aren't annoying the kids too much(Hoo). I have a feeling they might send you up to bed for being too hyper.

Quite right Alf. He managed to get my daughter too sleep yesterday (without her dummy as well). Not even I have atempted that.

Yeah. Tried all the usual "shh" stuff, then sang a couple of verses of "Bananaphone" [http://www.filmbuffs.net/bananana/] (very quietly) and BANG! Sleep.
I'm therefore officially the most boring singer in the world.

And how did he manage that, Alex? Told her engineering jokes until she fell asleep in self-defense?
Meanwhile, Alfster, nothing terribly wrong with my knickers at the moment, but will have to get down to the M&S in Gibraltar before too long so I can stock up again. In fact, we are planning a trip there with my American friend Eric next month.
And meanwhile and otherwise, I simply can't help but laugh when people say something funny! This 'technique' actually works really well with my students as they often (at first) feel a bit shy. But once we both start laughing at mistakes made (rather than having them cringe and feel embarrassed) they don't mind making mistakes later on.
So there!

Just back from London...well with a stop off to a salsa party in Leicester on the way.
Yup, Hoo you must be the most boring singer if Bananaphone can send someone to sleep. That song should be played to coma victims it would have them bopping about in minutes.
London was excellent. The Whistler/Monet/Turner exhibition left me cold. Only Whistlers etchings (he he) of London did anything for me. It was worth going though. Much preferred the Hopper.
The Wildlife Photographer of The Year was great as well and as usual I did not agree with the winners.
See them here for free.

Went to THE Comedy Store. Excellent evening and once again drank too much wine (I failed in my rule of no wine at comedy shows. I get too tipsy!) But there was a first for me: a heckler got thrown out! Well, she was basically an abuse tw*t who was shouting w*n*er etc at the comedians. In the end the audience started heckling her and during the final act they threw her out.
Glad your unmentionables are fine Az. A friend of mine says the quality of the M&S ones have dropped in the past few years so maybe that should be one of your shop items 'Better Than M&S Briefs'.
