What is it a muse does, then (not that I'm going to look a gift flying horse in the mouth - I'm just curious)?

It's a very nice mane indeed. Ideal for plaiting. And keeping away the flies at this time of year.
Poor neddy I saw in a field yesterday as I flew past had it's tail docked.
A fine pony like yourself should not put up with such poor fodder. Good grazing is plentiful at this time of year... trot this way... oh sorry, you can't without wings... will stay down to earth then...
A muses muses and whilst in the process (being muse of puns) I also try to amuse. We inspire, we create and we try to enlighten...
Of course, if you really want to look me in the mouth, I could lower my neck a little...
