Hey Lereux!
Great introduction -- I would introduce myself, but you already know me, so Ill skip that bit. 
I apologise for the tardiness of this response -- moving has put me out of service for a day.
(I am surprised Im the first one here though)
So here we go - ahem.
Welcome to the Hitchhiker's Guide tot he Galaxy, Earth Edition!
As an ACE (Assistant Community Editor) feel free to ask me any questions, or any other ACEs who you can find from my page (just click on my name, anything you need to know.
So to answer your first question - yeah the Approved Guide only contains non-fiction, but you can write fictional articles and they will still exist in the Guide and show up in the search engine.
