Well...errm..I was wondering why the other forum had no responses, so I thought I'd check it out. I found this link, but this doesn't seem to be all that much more active...

That's because no-one has visited yet - they all ignored my posting...
*sniff*....sometimes I wonder why I bother...

But you're here now, so that's cool! I've been offline for about a week so I'm going through a big backlog of postings I need to reply to.... I might give up and finish off tomorrow...

Explain to me why it is that you are commiting the entire works of Raymond Carver to memory.

I once phoned a e-mail friend for the first time he said that he was a big fan of HHGTTG so i recited the hole first page of restaurant.

And his reaction was??

And stop boasting, Possum! Whenever _I_ leave _I_ don't get a huge backlog! I answered "how are you" in one down, I don't want to count the rest, so I'll ask the question back to you. How are _you_ now that your essays are finally finished?

He was quite impressed but he knows i do watch a lot of sci-fi and i helped him(and many more on the british sci-fi channel)with info on many shows it was him that told me about this site but i don't think he is on here.
We did all meet up at a bar*in London last year and i might be going down again next month.
*pages bar is a star trek bar.

I'm fine - sort of. Had a bit of a bust up with a close friend, but apart from that I'm good - getting ready for my end-of-year exams. Yay.

I didn't mean to boast. I can't help it if I'm a wonderful, intelligent, charismatic, brilliant guy, can I?

And, speaking of boasting, it is so nice hearing other people talk about end-of-the-year exams, since I've been finished with them for almost a month. Good luck on them!

Well, I guess it's up to me to provide the riveting conversation, then

I'm pretty happy. I just came back from a fishing trip - no interest in fishing, but I was with some really neat people, so it was fun - and there were really pretty beaches and we found some great shells. Now that we're home, we've found The Full Monty on television, from the very beginning - Mom's currently lending her copy to a friend of hers. In fact, the friend who took us on the fishing trip, and whose boat took us to the islands with the lovely beaches. So there's my two bits' worth. Do with it what you will.

Glad you liked the fishing trip you will find the most of the best times are with good company it makes the good times better if there shared with friends.
You are to young for the full monty well ok its not that bad you could be watching much worse it is a very funny film.

I know it's funny; I saw it when it first came out (in the US, that is.). My mom took me to the theater and watched it with me. She also took me to see The Birdcage when it came out (I don't remember how old I was then; somebody tell me the year and I can). From this you can conclude either that my mother is a horrible mother, which I don't think is true, or that I am a rather unusual kid, which I do think is true (not at all to seem conceited! )

There are people that are wiser than there years i have classed you as one of these for a long time so i think your mothers is probley a very good mother.
I sometimes forget that the are so young i do not know if that is a bad thing or a good thing.

And if it helps, people I know often forget my age as well. Apparently, I look older than I am as well as acting older than I am, quite without meaning to. This past schoolyear I think I was the second-youngest person in the school, people in my grade turning sixteen all around me, yet people were always surprised to find out my age. Especially adults. And the question that invariably followed such a revelation was, "So, what grade did you skip?" It would be sorta nice to be able to say, none, simply to see the reactions, but I have to tell the truth Also, it's a great help getting into movies while I'm away at school and my mother can't escort me That's nice.

I'm just the opposite, I'm actually a year older than all of my "class"mates (meaning my graduating class, 2001), because of a little bizarre psychological foul-up when I was five. I was so incredibly *shy* that the school psychologist couldn't figure out whether or not I needed another year of schooling to, er, suppliment kindergarten, or whether I should have just been moved to the next grade. Needless to say, the first happened, and I am now cursed with the akwardness of being a year- or more- older than almost all of my friends. But I guess I honestly count it as good... if I hadn't had an extra year of schooling stuck in there, I wouldn't have met any of my best friends, or ever had any of the wonderful memories I do of my school years (plus one, I still have one more year). I will stop before I get too awful sappy, now... *wipes away a tear*...
