Hi BB. Just checking out your interesting homepage. It's nice to see fellow Canadians here. I love rocks. My brother went through all kinds of hobbies as a kid. I picked up on some of them. rocks were one of his fleeting passions. I'm always picking up interesting rocks wherever I go. We don't have any agate around here (southern Ontario, near Niagara Falls), mostly sandstone and other sedimentary formations. I'll bet the wire trees are gorgeous.

I'm glad your pelvis has healed. I know what you mean about daytime TV. Our TV hardly gets turned on since we got our computer. I've got your e-mail address and will be mailing you when I get off here. smiley - smiley Talk to you soon.

Yes, I'm well on the mend now. Just a slight limp that I'm working on. I tried a Highland dance step last night - actually I was trying on my kilt, and had to do it!!! It was a bit awkward, but it worked. I'm riding my Moped again which is the major accomplishment of the week, because I love my little bike. Its a 1970 Honda, all original except for a few spokes and front rim and just a hoot to drive. I get an awful teasing about my "hawg" - my guys think they're commedians!!!

Yes, and the world gets even with Harley!!! Actually his name is an Americanization of an ancient Celtic name - Harledb, or Harleigh, but he mostly uses the simple spelling. In Gaelic his name would be Harledb Seamus Gordon - quite a handle to hang on a premature new-bornsmiley - smiley

Good name. I'll bet he's the envy of all his friends. smiley - smiley

How was your weekend, especially the Highland games, etc.? We are going to see Moist and I Mother Earth tonight. It's raining right now of course. Hopefully, there will be less of a crowd at the concert. If it's pouring we'll probably skip it. I would really like to see these bands though. At least the weather was nice on the weekend. smiley - smiley

We had a great weekend, after it finally got started!! Thursday night we went into Winnipeg for pizza, and got a flat tire on the truck. We ended up having it towed, and spent the night in a motel. Friday we were both off, so we spent a leisurely morning, and got new front tires, then came home. The Gathering was smaller than usual, but still great music, great dancing, and entertaining heavy games. The fireworks display was better than ever, with them spelling out Canada and 2000 - something new for our local display. Our Lad was out and we had a nice weekend with him. I hope the rain stopped and you were able to go and check out the bands.

Hi BB. The rain stopped fortunately. We got to the show late and only saw Moist. That's the band I most wanted to see. I'd forgotten what it was like to stand for hours. My feet and back hurt when it was over. I'm way too old for this stuff anymore. smiley - smiley I wouldn't have been able to stay for all of the bands. We got to see fireworks from the American side. Tonight will be the big show for them, though.

I was going to respond last night, but I was just too tired. We'd been up early and drove down to Brandon for lunch with my mother-in-law. I put a journal entry in about our day. Its still tiring for me to sit that long, so I was beat by the time I got home. I simply checked my forums and went to bed. We had a really nice day though. "Grandma" is such a pet. Both my own parents are gone, Mom in 1989 and Dad in 1996, and she makes up for a lot. I "fix" old pictures on the computer, and we brought some old ones back to fix for her. I'm on holidays for this week and next, so I'm just leading a life of leisure right now. There's talk of going fishing on the weekend, though.
