As I hope you know, it´s the capital of Finland. And Finland, on the other hand, is a country in northern Europe.
I read a magazine a few days ago, which said that foreigners think Finland should change the name of their capital. I wasn´t surprised of the reasons: in English Helsinki has two unpleasent meanings, first naturally the word Hell and second, said the article, the end means "sink". Doesn´t sound so good, or what? I would like to hear some opinions 
Is the name Helsinki really so bad?
